Contact Lenses

Whether you wear daily, weekly or monthly disposables, or conventional (vial) lenses, check out our selection of lenses that fit your needs.

A good contact lens fit starts with a thorough eye exam to ensure the most up-to-date prescription and rule out any pre-existing conditions that could interfere with contact lens wear.

We will determine the best fitting lens based on your lifestyle needs, the shape and health of your eye. In most cases, you’ll have the opportunity to try lenses on the same day as your exam. You can even go home with a few samples before making a final decision.

We follow up the initial fitting and then make any necessary changes in fit or materials to get you the best possible fit. We teach all our patients proper contact lens care and also possible consequences if proper care is not taken. Then we continue with long-term follow-up to monitor the condition of the lenses and to ensure that proper hygiene is being maintained.

Orthokeratology for Kids Suffering from Myopia
Myopia, always common in children, is an increasing problem. The number of kids who are nearsighted has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years. The reason for this remains blurry, yet one possible culprit is the increased amount of time kids spend indoors gazing at digital screens, with limited exposure to natural light.

SPECIAL CONTACT LENS SERVICE

Orthokeratology

Orthokeratology, or ortho-k, is the use of specially designed and fitted contact lenses to temporarily reshape the cornea to improve vision. It’s like orthodontics for your eyes and the treatment is often compared to dental braces. Most ortho-k lenses are worn at night to reshape the front surface of the eye while you sleep. Vision improvements are reversible but can be maintained if you keep wearing the lenses as directed.

SCLERAL LENSES

Scleral contacts are large-diameter gas permeable contact lenses specially designed to vault over the entire corneal surface and rest on the "white" of the eye (sclera). In doing so, scleral lenses functionally replace the irregular cornea with a perfectly smooth optical surface to correct vision problems caused by keratoconus and other corneal irregularities.

MF RGP

We’ve all had the RGP lens wearing patient, for whom we order lenses for based off of their refraction and keratometry readings. Sometimes, the lenses fit perfectly, and other times, to our disappointment, they do not. With many warranties only covering one re-make, we need to scrupulously examine the causes of a poorly fitting lens, and ensure that the next lens that arrives in the mail is a perfect fit.

SYNERGEYES

Specialty Contact Lenses. There are many types of specialty contact lenses for astigmatism, presbyopia, myopia, hyperopia, keratoconus and other eye conditions. Each contact lens type has advantages and disadvantages.

Prosthetic contact lense

Prosthetic contact lenses are prescribed to mask flaws and improve the appearance of an eye disfigured from a birth defect, trauma, or eye disease. ... Like regular contact lenses, prosthetic contacts can be made of gas permeable or softlens materials.
